![]() Drawing a dotted quarter note is natural for anyone who has taken music theory. The keypad / MIDI keyboard input method is definitely efficient once youre good at it, but I would say its much harder to get used to than just drawing the notation. Me I have learned to write as if playing it on piano even if thechnically it would require 3 or 4 hands LOL. A couple thoughts (as someone who has spent a significant chunk of time using Sibelius): 1. I have never tried arranging from Staffpad and though technically feasible, I think it would require an arranger with the ability to write all the individual parts without easy reference to what else is happening at the moment. #Staffpad vs sibelius how toIT takes a bit of time for staffpad to get used to your writing style (or perhaps ones writing stryle to learn how to make staffpad work) It is still a bit glitchy in a few areas but I am not sure if that is partly due to Win10/Staffpad weirdness or an problem with my SFC4. I am about to do some research into Sib 8 as I gather it is also pen based. I usually do a piano score and then expand it out the various sections using that arranging feature. StaffPad is the first music notation editor designed from the ground up. I find the pen based staffpad great for quickly getting down ideas and down and dirty lead sheets.
